No more facemasks for PE classes

The Valencia Education Department told schools yesterday that facemasks are now no longer compulsory in PE classes, as long as the activities are outside

The changes to the restrictions say that masks are now ‘not obligatory’ in the outdoor PE classes, so those students who feel happier wearing a mask are still free to do so.

Teachers are also now free to not wear facemasks during PE classes, but likewise only if the activity is being done outside.

Other preventative measures remain unchanged: social distancing, use of hand sanitizer and wearing of facemasks in all other school settings, such as playgrounds and classrooms.

The education department has not altered the protocol for extracurricular activities which remain unchanged.
