An EU initiative to encourage youngsters to visit other European countries and learn about their culture and histrory is offering 60,000 free travel vouchers for young Europeans born between 1 July 2001 and 31 December 2003.
The distribution in Valencia is being carried out by the Valencian Institude for Youth (IVAJ) and for those lucky enough to be accepted, trips will be taken between 1 March and 2022 and 28 February 2023 during a period of up to one month.
DiscoverEU is an initiative of the European Union based on a proposal of the European Parliament that wants to offer young people of 18 years of age the experience of a trip in which they can take advantage of the freedom of movement in the European Union, discover the diversity of Europe while they travel, learn about European history and cultural heritage, meet people from all over the continent, and ultimately get to know themselves.

As a rule trips will be taken by train, however, alternative forms of trnsport will be offered where strictly necessary.
Applicants need to be citizens of an EU member state,, however, for this year only British 18-year-olds will still be admitted.
This fabulous offer comes hot on the heels of last week’s announcement of €400 vouchers for those turning 18 to spend on cultural activities.
